Beach school has the same ethos as forest school, but has a focus on the coastal environment. Essex has one of the longest coastlines of any county in England - around 350 miles - and is one of Essex's most valued assets for its national and international importance for nature conservation, which makes beach school a valuable way to learn about how lucky we are to live here!
I am a Beach School Practitioner/Ofsted Registered Childminder and I run Beach School Explorers. We cover beaches, estuaries, rivers and all inland water and species habitats to connect children to their local watery environments and the curriculum through concepts such as food chains, the water cycle, geology, animal and environmental conservation, and so on.
Beach School Explorers is informal and child-led, and includes lots of fun and interesting activities including rock pooling, scavenger hunts, beach-combing, games, mindfulness, beach and river cleans, crafts and activities, linking with the curriculum.
Holiday Club Information
Standard Sessions take place between 9am-4pm £42 (extended hours extra £10 8am-6pm) for children aged between 5 years (Year 1) to 12 years.
Home Education, Schools and Parties all available on request.
We aim to go ahead in all weather and will only cancel in exceptional circumstances.
All children should wear suitable comfortable clothing and footwear which you are happy to get mucky. Any specific clothing will be confirmed closer to the day, but may include anything from a sun hat, change of clothes, beach/water shoes and swimwear to wellies, raincoats and gloves.
Cost: £42 per day (9am-4pm), which includes snacks and drinks extended hours (8-6pm £52 includes extra £10). Children need to bring a packed lunch (No nuts) and a refillable drink bottle. We accept all Childcare Vouchers, please ask for details.

Primary School Day Trips
We bring learning to life and make the most of your time out of the classroom. The outdoors becomes your classroom and we link the curriculum (if required) or just tailor the time at the beach to suit your requirements.
The children measure risk taking and we encourage their independent thinking.
We support wellbeing through connection to nature which builds confidence, resilience and communication through team games.
Outdoor classrooms make learning fun and we deliver a balance of fun learning, creativity and encourage curiosity as required by Ofsted.
A fully qualified Beach School Practitioner will be on hand to oversee your time at the beach.
We have a choice of several locations across Essex to choose from depending on what you are wanting to achieve.
We have 14 years of experience providing hands on safe experiences with children age 5-14 years.
We fully risk assess the locations and are fully insured..

BIRTHDAY PARTIES!!! or ANY PARTY!! I create special parties unique to you to make memories your children will never forget. Parents can relax on the beach or beachside restaurant (I can recommend a few) while your children are experiencing new and exciting outdoor activities.
